★Conjoined Comics is Back★
Friday, March 19, 2010
Hello all! We're back with a new look and some new content to share.
We've added a Comics section to the site where we'll be posting something (cross fingers) weekly. To get it started off, we've posted the first two Emogician mini comics for your enjoyment. These have mostly been available at conventions, so if you haven't been able to pick them up, take a look... and weep magic tears.
To The Power Against issue #5 is underway! After that, we are one issue away from completing the first arc! Unbelievable, I know, considering our breakneck pace so far.
In show news, we have secured a place at Wonder Con, coming up on April 2nd–4th. We'll be in Small Press at table SP-03, under the mighty Conjoined Comics banner. We'll have To The Power Against #1–4 with a preview of issue #5 as well as copies of Emogician for anyone craving authentic Xerox mini comics. Carrie will most likely do sketches of a robot punching out anything you like and I will handle any non-robot-punching-related art requests.
Hope to see you there!
★LOLTWITTER★
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
Hey, I have a Twitter account.
I might, uh, "tweet" (is that what everyone has decided to go with?) stuff from Comic Con. Sometimes I even take pictures and post them to TwitPic (or Flickr).
You can follow along here: http://twitter.com/stephanielantry.
Ka-Blam got swamped with Comic Con orders so "To The Power Against #4" hasn't made it up on to Indy Planet yet. We'll let you know as soon as it's there.
★Comics are in!★
Thursday, July 16, 2009
They're in and ready for Comic Con. We should have the book up on Indy Planet within the next couple days for those of you who won't be able to stop by during Comic Con next weekend.
If you will be at the show, we will be at Small Press Table N-02.

Finally! It's off to the printers.

We'll have these at Comic Con in a few weeks and they'll be available at Indy Planet shortly before that.
★Hard at Work★
Wednesday, April 29, 2009
Checking in quickly with news from my Mysterious Art Lair (corner of living room).
Issue #4 of To The Power Against is getting quite close to being done. We should have it up for sale on Indy Planet in the next couple of weeks.
As Carrie mentioned, we will once again have a table at Comic Con. We'll be in the Small Press section at table N-2. I'll make one of those handy map things when I have time.
★Issue #3 is here!★

The books are back from the printers and they look great!
We're working with Ka-Blam Digital Printing; the process was incredibly smooth and the staff was very responsive so if you're looking to get some comics or mini posters printed, give them a try.
Book ordering has also been moved to Ka-Blam's online catalog, Indy Planet. Since they offer print-on-demand and order fulfillment you all will no longer be subject to our shoddy inventory management. Hooray!
Wonder Con is just a few weeks away. Carrie and I will once again be selling books and whatever else it is we manage to bring with us. We'll be in Small Press at table #SP03.
★The order is in.★
Monday, November 17, 2008
Just a quick note, we've placed our order for the third issue of To The Power Against and expect to have it in the first half of December. I know, a couple weeks behind schedule, but there was the matter of having funds with which to purchase the books.
We're also working to import the Long Lost List of Comic Con Subscribers into our mailing list system. We had a sheet full of people who signed up at Comic Con, uh... 2007... that got eaten by Carrie's laptop when she made a digital version of the list. It has been unearthed so we can harass people who probably forgot they even wanted to hear from us.

★Oh Manchu, New Issue, and Thank You★
Saturday, March 22, 2008
Howdy!
Many of you (ok...Nick) have been wondering what's happening with our Jane Austen kung fu comic, Manchu Park. Well, wonder no longer! It's in the works. As we speak, Stephanie's nimble fingers are flying to and fro in the creation of fabulously high bustlines, pouty poets and swords so sharp they go *shinnnggg!*
Also coming down the pipe: To The Power Against Issue #3. Now, even more statistical analysis in every bite! Ohhh, and the cover art for this issue...I have but one awesome word for you: goggles. *pressing finger to lips*
Thanks so much to everyone who visited our booth at Wonder Con. It was so good to see/meet/share photos of my burrito with you guys. And thanks too for all the online orders that have been coming in for Issues #1 and #2. Keep 'em coming! Tell your friends! We won't rest until people on at least three continents accept Xi Chen as their overlord.
★To The Power Against Issue #2!★

Yes, it's finally here!
Carrie and I will be selling these beauties (as long as the overnight shipping from the print place works out, fingers crossed) at Wonder Con this weekend.
We'll have a booth in Small Press, I believe it's #SP3 (floor plan is here).
Come for the comics, stay for the witty banter!

Hello!
We have emerged from our post holiday stupor to get ready for the 2008 Convention Season!
First up is Wonder Con in San Francisco where To The Power Against Issue #2 will make its debut with about a 43% chance of a preview for #3.
★To The Power Against Sketches★

Just a quick note to inform everyone that I've put up some of the sketches used to design characters for To The Power Against up on my portfolio site, comicgrrl.com Flickr site.
★Conjoined Comics Welcomes You★
Tuesday, September 04, 2007
Congratulations, you've reached the official site for Conjoined Comics, made up of writer Carrie Smith and artist Stephanie Lantry.
We've finally gotten a basic site running and will be updating as we have new stuff. That's usually how these things work, anyway.
If you're new, our first book To The Power Against was released at Comic Con International back in July. Surprisingly, people bought it and even came back to say nice things to us. The short summary, according to Carrie, is this:
“Catalina Jones is a mild-mannered probabilistic risk assessor for a car manufacturer. Her life is quite normal: her boyfriend is nice, her boss is a jerk, and her job is going nowhere. But suddenly, as the result of a tragic microwave burrito/graviton missile accident, Catalina gains ultimate power over the odds. This power is godlike and terrifyingly unpredictable; she can't turn it off, and she can't control it— yet.”
If you missed us at Comic Con and would like to pick up a copy of the book, here are your options:
- In the Los Angeles area, the book is sometimes available in stores at Meltdown Comics and House of Secrets.
If you have a PayPal account and are not afraid of the Internet, you can send $5.00 to our account or use our handy purchase page and we'll ship a copy out to your doorstep.Place an order at Indy Planet and they will take good care of you!- If you prefer to meet us in person, you can always pick up a copy at whichever comic convention well be at next. In this case it's Wonder Con in February 2008.
If you've read the book or have any other questions for us, feel free to .
